Our master electrician, Steve Roebuck has worked in the electrical industry in the Houston area for 42 years. He graduated from the NECA Electrical Training Center apprenticeship program in 1975 and continued to work for large commercial electrical contractors as a job foreman on retail space and commercial office build outs. He expanded his experience into the industrial field as a foreman on large power plant construction projects such as W.A. Parrish Generating Station Unit #7 in Richmond Texas and the South Texas Nuclear Project in Bay City, Texas. After the completion of these projects, he returned to commercial electrical service work in the Houston and Conroe areas. Steve served as the foreman of a control panel shop for Crown, Cork and Seal, a major can manufacturer, in the employ of a sub contractor in the construction of control panels for CC&S's plants in the United States, Foshan, China, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he became familiar with ordering and procuring electrical components and devices in voltages that are standard in other parts of the world. After a year as the foreman for the subcontractor, Steve was recruited to work directly for CC&S where he traveled to various can plants in the United States to design control panels and to supervise the construction and integration of these panels into the can lines. Weary of the extensive travel required for the position and wanting to spend more time with his family, Steve returned to commercial and residential electrical service work. Steve also served as the master electrician for a large landscape lighting firm and became familiar with the techniques involved in installing landscape lighting. Steve received his Master Electrician's license in 1998.
